“Cutting Edge” and “Bottom Line” are painted on the walls of Creekside, a road just around the corner from the Ha'penny Hatch archways. This piece of street art plays with the semantic implications of these two phrases. Here, the words "cutting edge" - commonly used to describe something advanced, innovative or progressive - simply indicate an edge to be cut along.
My composition Cutting Edge will explore, celebrate and satirize the idea of the cutting edge in music. Check back for more details soon.
